Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency on Tuesday evening over Florida’s gas shortage after “hackers” brought the colonial pipeline to a standstill.
DeSantis said the attorney general was looking for price cuts.
According to Fox 13, between 1/3 and 1/2 of Florida gas stations are out of gas.

Long pipelines and gas shortages are reported in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

Governor DeSantis’ executive order states: “The disruption to the operations of the colonial pipeline poses a significant and imminent threat to the continued supply of such fuel products to the state of Florida and many other states in the eastern United States and poses a serious threat to the state of Florida take immediate action to protect and facilitate the continued delivery of such fuel products to that state until the colonial pipeline is fully operational. “
The order also removes the weight restrictions on tankers and allows them to travel around the clock.
Meanwhile, the Biden admin sits back and takes no action after a cyber attack compromised gas distribution for 1/3 of the country.
Governor Roy Cooper also declared a state of emergency over the gas shortage in North Carolina.
