Maryland Shooter Identified as 38-Year-Old Navy Sailor Fantahun Woldesenbet

There was a shooting Tuesday in Maryland near the US Army Base at Fort Detrick.

The 38-year-old suspect shot and killed two men before he was shot.

One victim remains in critical condition and the other victim is treated and discharged from hospital tomorrow.

The shooter has been identified by authorities as a 38-year-old Navy Corpsman Fantahun Girma Woldesenbet.

“We can confirm that he is an active member of the Navy at rank E4,” Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said during a press. “He lives in Frederick Town, not the military base, and he lives on the 100 block of Willowdale.”
